I picked up my latest mahogany custom today from the good folks at ALM. This time it is an Air Tractor AT-802 Fire Boss in Conair Aviation colours. These things are hand carved so the scales are all over the place but they look good displayed together, I'm guessing this is close to 1:18 as it looks right when placed next to diecast cars of that scale. As always, the paint is smooth and correct on a carving that is pretty close to the 1:1 with none of the fat/stubby sections this genre of model is famous for, standing back, it looks right and that to me is what really counts. Up close, the detail, I love so much from ALM is there in spades, antennae, struts, hand holds, raised water rudders (thank you) and painted vents, logos and even a correct font Wipline 10000 that I needed a magnifying glass to read. Over all another winner from ALM, thanks A!
